| The Art Rooney Award |

 In Tribute to "The Chief" "The Chief," the late Arthur J. Rooney, Jr., the partriarch of the Pittsburgh Steerlers, was a larger than life figure. Beloved for his kindness and generosity, Mr. Rooney's favorite charity was the Catholic Youth Association. To support the organization's work, Mr. Rooney began a tradition in 1974: The Art Rooney Award Dinner. The Dinner annually honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Pittsburgh area in business, sports, politics, philanthropy, education, science, and more. Proceeds of the event benefit CYA. The 2009 Art Rooney Award Winners are Jim Broadhurst, Chariman of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group and his wife Suzy. They were honored April 16th at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. Previous ecipients of the Award include Jim Rohr, Chairman of PNC Bank, Allegheny County Chief Executive, Dan Onorato, Archbishop of Washington, Donald Wuerl, as well as Arnold Palmer, Joe Paterno, Bill Cowher, Jerome Bettis and Terry Bradshaw.
