Are you a senior citizen who lives in Allegheny County?
Are you looking for conversation? Entertainment? Things to do, or a way to make new friends? Are you interested in volunteer opportunities? You're at the right place!
CYA offers all of those things and whole lot more! CYA organizes sight-seeing trips, walks, shopping excursions, and many other activities for senior citizens. We have a computer lab, a pool table, a coffee bar, and Wii video console. We even have Wii bowling tournaments! And as you might expect, there are also bingo and card games.
Being involved in a broad range of recreational activities is healthful. It helps us to stay mentally and physically sharp. So, we encourage you to get involved. Come on in for a cup of coffee! Look around! Ask questions! Explore a little! You might just fall in love!
CYA offers services at four locations. Our primary center is located at 286 Main Street in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh (next door to the Lawrenceville branch of Carnegie Library). We also have facilities in Bloomfield, Polish Hill, and West Deer.
The Catholic Youth Association is a senior citizens center and a whole lot more.
